Nelio is a native of Merida. He grew up on the north side of the city. At the age of 15 he attended to Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. and in 1993 moved to Michigan to study Construction Technology.

His work expirience has included several years selling fine jewelry in Cozumel, Belice and Alaska for Goodmark Jewelers and other designers like Kabana, Jhon Hardy, Edward Mirell, Yvel and Mark Henry.

He moved back to Merida in 2005 he has a 6-year old daughter and 8-year old son.
